Scott Hofer Home Staging & Art LLC believes that there is an art and science to the sale of your home for top dollar and in the shortest amount of time. The furniture, lighting, and art tells a story to your buyer. If your home doesn’t engage the buyer immediately with a WOW factor, you have lost them. Alot of people can’t envision how a space could be, especially if vacant. They only see what is in from of them.
Using the concept of “target staging” and “lifestyle merchandising”, we will dial in the buyer. We look at the demographic that will buy your house. These are concepts that I learned in training from Matthew Finlason of HGTV’s The Stagers.
There are several myths about staging. Some people think that it is very costly whem staging usually costs less than your first price reduction. In addition, there is a perception that staging is just de-cluttering and using beige everywhere which can sometimes strip the character out of a space.
I am an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) and was trained by Barb Schwarz who founded the home staging industry back in 1972. Recently, I was trained by Matthew Finlason of HGTV’s The Stagers through an advanced staging program ( Staging and Re-Design), and also received my real estate licensce in March of 2012. As a professional artist and part-time art teacher, I realize the importance of creating that WOW factor using the elements and principles of design to create a unified product.
